I’m a first-year PhD student at Aalto University, supervised by Francesco Croce and co-supervised by Nuria Oliver (ELLIS Alicante), and part of the ELLIS PhD program. I obtained my master’s degree in Economics and Finance at the University of Tübingen, where my focus lay on econometrics, machine learning, and deep learning. For my master’s thesis, supervised by Matthias Hein, I systematically analyzed object hallucinations in Vision-Language Models. My research focuses on robustness and interpretability in multimodal foundation models, with the goal of understanding their internal mechanisms, improving their reliability, and making their behavior more transparent and understandable to humans, ultimately contributing to their safe and trustworthy deployment.
